Regular Meeting of the Mass Transportation Committee
CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the Mass Transportation Committee was called to order on Wednesday,
July 14, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. via teleconference, by Chair John Osumi.
ROLL CALL
Present: Committee Members David Figueroa (Vice Chair - At Large), Robin Kisinger (Senior),
Denise Martinez (Disabled), and John Osumi (Chair - Business)
Absent: Committee Members Marlene Cramer (Cal Poly), Dinah Nassar (Alternate), and Trevor
Freeman (Technical)
Staff: Transit Manager Austin O’Dell, Transit Coordinator Megan Weeks, Transit Assistant
Jesse Stanley, and Deputy City Clerk Kevin Christian
PUBLIC COMMENT ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
1. Minutes of the Mass Transportation Committee meeting of May 12, 2021.
ACTION: UPON MOTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBER FIGUEROA, SECONDED BY COMMITTEE
MEMBER KISINGER, CARRIED 4-0-3 (Members Cramer, Nassar, and Freeman absent), the
Mass Transportation Committee approved the minutes of May 12, 2021.
COMMENT AND DISCUSSION
2. SLO Transit Update

Updates were provided on the following:
• Electric Bus Procurement.
• COVID-19 response.
• Federal Mask Mandate.
• Federal funding.
Committee Member Cramer joined the meeting.

ADJOURNMENT
ACTION: UPON MOTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBER KISINGER, SECONDED BY COMMITTEE
MEMBER FIGUEROA, CARRIED 4-0-3 (Members Cramer, Nassar, and Freeman absent), the
meeting was adjourned at 3:08 p.m.
The next Regular Meeting of the Mass Transportation Committee is scheduled for Wednesday,
September 8, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. via teleconference.
