Hello,
I am a tenant at 730 High St. The backyard of 1953 Chorro St. backs up to the property where I
live. I agree with the Community Development Director's decision to deny a requested setback
reduction.
My concerns are both about the structure itself and the precedence it might set if this non-permitted
structure is allowed. The applicant began building this very large structure without a permit, a stop
work order was issued, but the applicant continued building anyway.
I am concerned with the size, the style, the placement, and the use of the building. I do not know if
anyone has surveyed the structure and the property lines. It may be closer to the property line than
the requested setback reduction states.
