Re: Your review of the effectiveness of the Clean Energy Choice Program for New Buildings
I’m writing to encourage you to remove the natural gas compliance pathway for new buildings.
Mandating that all new structures be all-electric is an easy and effective way for us to reduce our
dependence on natural gas.
In the very near future the City would also be wise to apply mandates for electrification associated with
remodeling and retrofitting all structures.
