Dear City Council:
I am writing in support of SLO REP’s challenge grant request for the new theatre complex that is in
the works, and ready to move forward. Support and funding this project will contribute immensely
to our town as it grows and changes. SLO REP is not only relevant, it is an amazing catalyst to
attract tourism and local community members to enjoy all that our downtown has to offer.
Being a San Luis Obispo resident for over 14 years, I have had the pleasure of enjoying the
wonderful and talented performers, technical crews and administration of this organization. It is
indeed an amazing reflection of our community. In addition, the ACT educational programming for
our youth, as well as the quality of the shows just keeps getting better.
I request that you please approve SLO REP’s challenge grant so we can show the enthusiasm that
San Luis Obispo has for the arts, and continue that passion for future generations.
