ACTION: The Council received a presentation on the first phase of the
Clean Energy Choice Program and provide the following strategic
direction for the 2022 program update:
• Pursue Option 1, as presented in the staff presentation and to begin
public engagement regarding this option.
• Look at a municipal code amendment requiring all electric buildings
new buildings.
6
• Find ways to optimize resilience, use of incentives where applicable
with a focus on equity.
• Make sure we are being diligent not only in our communications and
outreach for this phase of the project but also when returning to the
Council with a final recommendation.
• When and if a program is in place, make sure we have the ability to
reach people with that information so that they are clear what that
program is.
