The signage should make it clear that the bike lane is closed. The bike lane is not a safe place to ride with uneven piles of asphalt and strewn debris. Plus many bicyclists feel unsafe riding across metal plates. Bicyclists have to ride close to the center line, which is going to make the aggressive drivers crazy. Share the road signs, a speed limit sign of 10-20 mph is seriously needed. We're a gold-level Bicycle Friendly City and need to hold contractors accountable. Image F shows debris in the bike lane south of the metal plates. This contractor has shown time and time again that he does not care about bicyclist safety. I have submitted at least six complaints about debris because the contractor is saving money by not sweeping, Why is this behavior and the fact the contractor couldn't be bothered with posting signs after creating a hazardous conditions acceptable? I have informed the inspectors to notify me of any violations, one of the inspectors will be in attendance at the meeting to answer questions regarding standard construction practices. The blocking of driveways is absolutely a concern but it makes it very hard to enforce without evidence, anytime things like that occur pictures should be taken for the record to establish adequate repercussions, the inspectors are well aware to keep their eyes out for this as well. Robbins Reed has done a terrible job at informing our neighborhood of water outages, power outages and have not kept our streets cleaned. We have had to deal with dust, dirt, rocks, tractors blocking driveways and streets, gas leak which led to an evacuation, yellow water coming from our drains and many more inconveniences. Robbins Reed has not once informed us of what is to come and have not kept our streets cleaned. It’s time to voice our frustration to them and the city and see if we can make a change.
