Subject:Dana Street Commercial Parking District

As owner of A French Touch Salon in the Soda Water Works, my business has been very negatively impacted by the loss
of public parking on Dana.
We business owners at the Soda Water Works complex need and would appreciate a
"commercial parking district" being formed for office and retail parking at the Soda Water Works.
Dana Street is completely empty of cars and has been for the last 7 months since the creation of
the "Residential Parking District." Residential permit holders clearly are not using their permits.
We request that permits be issued to commercial users like ourselves that actually have
businesses on the commercial end of the district...that the permits to be similar to those we
purchase for 10 hour meters -that can be purchased monthly, quarterly, biannually, annually...
and accommodations made for nightly special events like "ART after Dark" for our
nighttime business activities.
I look forward to your recognizing this dire need by the Nipomo Street downtown businesses
that depend on your support.
Thank you,
Patricia Kaspian
