I am so glad you are looking at improving the cross walk at Sydney and Johnson. Today, what is there is completely unsafe and drivers do not pay
attention to the sometimes flashing lights since they are not pushed on by demand.
I would love to see you budget for and due the phase 3 PHB system , but I understand that it is unwarranted at this time. However, what you will
find is that usage of the intersection by pedestrians will go up, with phases 1 and 2 and warrant phase 3 much quicker! Today we often avoid the
intersection on purpose since it is so risky to cross.
