Has any thought been given to continue with Johnson Avenue being one lane up past Sydney? Or better yet, could Johnson Avenue be one lane from the start of Johnson at Orcutt all the way up to Bishop? Cars pulling out from LaVineda have a very dangerous entrance. Why could you not put a turning lane - center divider - down Johnson Avenue from Orcutt to Bishop? Walking across Johnson at Sydney has been dangerous since we moved here thirty years ago. Your proposal has Johnson Avenue going from two lanes to one lane to two lanes which seems goofy to me. Make it one lane from Bishop through Laurel Lane to Orcutt. Go back and look how you cleaned up South Street. It is much more user-friendly being a single lane with a middle divider and some turn outs. I am certainly glad you are keeping the left hand turn on Johnson going down Sydney. Laurel Lane is all backed up at 8 AM with parents getting their kids to school. So thank you for keeping that turn open. Thank you for your consideration of keeping Johnson Avenue single lane from Orcutt until Bishop Street. This way, all community members who live on the cul-de-sacs off of Johnson Avenue reduce their chances of being rear ended trying make a left-hand turns as well as making it safer to pull out into traffic.
