Below is an itemized response to your request for additional information.
Planning Division — Community Development Department
1. We propose installation of two obstruction light poles. Location, diameter and height
information is added to Sheet L104 and new Sheet PA402. Lighting specifications,
elevations are included on new Sheet PA402. Pole locations are incorporated into
renderings and simulations on Sheets PA400 and PA401.
2. Dignity has assured us that the underlying property will be secured prior to the final
entitlement hearing and requests that the entitle review be allowed to proceed while
negotiations are being finalized.
3. The flight approach to the relocated helistop is required to be toward the prevailing
winds (from the northwest). This positions the flight path in a narrow gap between the
proposed Patient Tower and existing mature eucalyptus trees in the Open Space
Easement (refer to Flightpath diagram on sheet PA402). Due to FAA clearance
requirements three additional eucalyptus trees are proposed for removal. These are

shown as trees 21, 22 and 23 on the revised Sheet L104 (attached). The same FAA
requirements necessitate trimming four additional eucalyptus trees in this area 25'-35'.
These trees are also shown as T-1 through T-4. Sheet L104 shows all trees proposed
for removal and trimming. Sheet L101 shows all proposed replacement and screening
trees.
