This message is from an External Source. Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. I just read SLO Tribune article and feel compelled to ask ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MINDS?? Inflation is at an all time high. Food prices are doubling. Gas prices are sky high and going up And NOW you want to double parking prices? Just where do you think people will have money to pay for a parking increase? My suggestion is maybe, just maybe you might want to think outside of the box? And do you really need to spend 31M for a grandiose parking structure. Maybe you should start by reclaiming the existing parking that you gave away to the shop owners. Or maybe you should have thought about this before approving all the new hotels And maybe you should have thought of the impact of approving all these new housing developments. WAKE UP!! And maybe consider thinking like running the city like a business - not a handout organization. Perhaps by brainstorming with the community you might just come up with some better ideas. If the city votes for increase I for one will certainly avoid travel at all costs to downtown moving forward. The new meters that went in are already priced too high – we’re already paying double. With your proposed increase you will decimate the small business owners who are doing their best to hang on already. I urge you to use some common sense before you destroy the fabric of what makes SLO special. 1
