My vote is not to do it. You will drive away shoppers from downtown. When one taxes, one gets less of what's taxed. I
guarantee you will get less parking if you double the rates. That's crazy talk. In these inflationary times extracting even
more money from people is completely out of touch. I can't imagine the downtown businesses think this is a good idea.
