Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Hello council, This is a terrible plan that will only make downtown less accessable than it already is. There are few timely or reliable options for folks visiting downtown from the surrounding areas. They are forced to drive. Not to mention all the people who work downtown and come from out of the area. I used to work in the Andrews building downtown and frequently had to park in the structure which cut into my already low pay. Reading rates will not affect most but it will affect the people it hits hardest. Low wage out of town workers. Money would be better spent increasing frequency of public transit and investing heavily on the regional rail proposed by SLOGOG. We are far too car dependent sand have limited to no alternatives if you calculate frequency of transport. Also, any parking lot could be converted to housing which is far more beneficial for local people trying to stay here. Thank you, Carter McGowen 1
