Dear SLO City Council Members,
I am writing in support of the parking rate increase and the benefits of using those funds to create a new parking
structure in the Arts District. For the Children’s Museum and SLO Rep to thrive and expand programming, the new
parking structure is crucial and will surely benefit other businesses in that area. I also believe that the rate increase is
realistic, putting San Luis Obispo on par with other destination tourists areas like Pismo Beach and Monterey.
As a twenty-five year resident of SLO, I am excited by the forward thinking plan for an Arts District and think the parking
increase a small price to pay for our city’s positive development.
