Dear Council members,
I am strongly opposed to the proposed parking rate increase. I believe this increase is cost prohibitive for shoppers as
the downtown businesses are still recovering from impacts from the pandemic. Downtown businesses are challenged
with competing with local businesses that offer free parking.
Additionally, as an employee that works downtown, the parking rates will have a significant financial impact to me.
Increased rates may also result in pushing more and more employees to park in adjacent neighborhoods. Please vote
'no' on this proposed parking rate increase.
