Mayor and Council Members.
I have been reading about the proposed parking rate adjustments and what is being proposed seems more than just an
adjustment when doubling current rates. It is my understanding the rates are being driven by the cost of the new
parking structure. I obviously do not know all of the details but if that is the case then perhaps we need to take another
look at the design of the structure. I know everything costs more when it involves government but this seems over the
top.
I am going to guess if built by private development the cost would be in line with the budget. I know that is likely not an
option but a fact that cannot and should not be ignored.
I know it is much more complicated than my view and trust you will make the right decision.
Thank you for your service to our community.
