During a covid recovery period where businesses are still fighting to employ their teams properly, raising parking prices would significantly affect the downtown of San Luis Obispo negatively, dissuading anyone from wanting to work down there. This would trickle in to everything, including experiences of tourists (whether that be the issue of parking or their downtown experience). Focus should be shifted to filling all the empty businesses so that we create more of a buzz and therefore more bodies. Raising parking prices will encourage people not to go downtown. The exact opposite of what we need for our small town economy. Sincerely, Jillian San Luis Obispo resident — www.jillianwilkey.com Stars Artists SF | LA 1
