I want to address the rate increase for parking, I think it would be a horrible idea at this time to increase the rates as most of us businesses are still trying to recover from covid and the shutdowns we incurred during that time. I have many clients already complaining about the parking and the fact they have to pay till 9:00 p.m. and the new pay stations have not gone over in a positive way. I've had many clients say that if this continues they will stop coming downtown and I will lose business. Not sure how you see this as making the city safer, because none of us feel safe downtown with the amount of homelessness and mental health issues we have that I see on a daily basis. I think we should start cleaning that up before we start working on charging extra for parking and making a new parking structure. If you don't have the money for the new parking structure then you wait till you do have it and this is not the way to do it. Jennifer Hammack 1
