1. CALL TO ORDER
A Special Meeting of the San Luis Obispo City Council was called to order on
Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the SLO Business Center, 4251 S.
Higuera Street, Suite 800, San Luis Obispo, by Mayor Stewart.
2. PUBLIC COMMENT FOR ITEMS ON THE AGENDA ONLY
Public Comment:
None

3. CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
Working Together – Council reviewed their strengths and how they can use
those strengths to work together.
The Path Forward – Council discussed things that worked well when they
were joining Council.
Communications – Council discussed having a quarterly breakfast or lunch
for a less structured time to share ideas. Council discussed streamlining the
Proclamation process, only reading 2-3 of the Whereas statements.
Summing It Up – By consensus the Council directed staff to bring an
Ordinance amendment to change the meeting start time from 6:00 PM to 5:30
PM for all Regular Council meetings.

4. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m. The next Regular Meeting of the City
Council will be held on June 7, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City
Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo.
