As a woman who is both pro choice and pro life, I urge you to allow women that control over their own bodies. I have had 3 completed births in my lifetime. I would never presume to attempt to tell my friends, or sisters what to do with their own bodies. There is a time period within pregnancy that the fetus isn’t viable. Under those circumstances I feel a woman should have a choice. If a fetus is beyond that point and is in the survival period I feel the pregnancy should go to full term. There should be better birth control and access to morning after pills available with the knowledge of access given to women. The stigma should be taken away from these women. I also feel we need more accountability for the male counterpart in this decision making process if they expect the pregnancy to go to full term. Automatic support for the child is of utmost importance plus paid family leave. Freedom of choice is the ultimate freedom that should be a given in a democracy. Please consider this in your decision making process. The decision shouldn’t be made by a group of city council persons but an individual personal choice of each woman involved. Thanks, Sharon Hill 1
