I’m writing as a very concerned constituent of the San Luis. I’m writing to share my support for Resolution #5G,
Reproductive Right to Freedom in San Luis Obipso.
This resolution is important as the wake left by the decision of the supreme court requires larger & more formal actions
by our local governments. We need to ratify freedoms like this one so that they cannot be manipulated depending on
which party is in control of the government.
As someone currently pregnant with a little girl, I am beyond aghast that she will be born into a world where her
inalienable rights to her own body & medical privacy are now dependent on her geographical location in this country,
but if she had been born a boy, she’d experience no change to those freedoms.
I fully support #5G discussed on 7/5/2022. Every woman should have a right to her own bodily autonomy & her medical
decision making should be up to her and her alone. Governments should not jurisdiction inside one’s body.
