Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Madam Mayor and Council I'm writing to endorse those comments made in the letter to you from the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce. The comments were on point, well made and directed at the heart of the potential problems by eliminating table 2 and not updating/adapting that table as needed. Please note that some of the signers of that letter are contract planners, builders, a lender and an affordable housing developer. These are the people that deal with the housing crises on a daily basis and I believe they fully understand the problem created by the elimination of table 2 and are clearly making suggestions that will help all types of housing and buyers across the board. Please take note of some of the statistics mentioned by Ms. Brennan, the San Luis Coastal Association of Realtors Government Affairs director as well as her comments also supporting the updating of table 2 vs. its elimination and the idea that what you do tonight will be with us a long time as was the current IHO. Please consider eliminating or reducing the $25.00/sq.ft. fee as mentioned by the Chamber but also by. Mr. Moresco. Honestly, I'm not sure why you would even entertain that. In my opinion, there can be no better suggestions offered than those from the people that have to deal with housing. I really don't think that they would offer comments/solutions that would be bad for housing.I hope you can be flexible and pass an IHO that makes sense as well as adapts table 2 and incorporates staff wishes as well. Housing is not one size fits all. Although this will probably not be a consideration, it would be nice to see more discussion with staff and other stakeholders to actually come up with an ordinance that is mutually acceptable vs. an ordinance that may remain contentious in the future. Continuing this item to a certain date is an option. I would hope you would want the development community and city staff to be on the same page but right now I don't see that. As always, thank you for your consideration. -- Steve Delmartini Broker Associate DRE#: 00601891 San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 1 To help prot ect your priva cy, … 2
