Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear City Council, I support the construction of the neighborhood greenway that will create a safer route between the Foothill Boulevard neighborhoods (including the Foothill-area schools) and downtown. My wife rides her bike on this route regularly to work, my son rides his bike on this route regularly to SLO high school, my daughter will be riding her bike on this route regularly next year to SLO high school, and I ride my bike on this route regularly to downtown SLO. One advantage of this route is that it will direct some bicycle traffic from Ramona Drive to the Greenway crossing at Foothill. Ramona Drive has a dangerous blind curve on it. My son and his friends, as they ride their bikes legally along the sharrows and to and from SLO high school, are regularly threatened by drivers on Ramona Drive who pass them illegally at the blind curve and occasionally yell profanities. Thanks for moving this project forward! -- Steve Klisch SLO Resident, North Foothill Neighborhood 1
