Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Good afternoon I am writing to request the Chorro St .bike lane project be reconsidered. We own a home on Chorro St between Lincoln and Murray. Our Home has one spot for a car to park and no garage. The home is a 3 bedroom, two bath home with a detached Cottage that we rent. Between the big house and cottage there are three cars for the property. Two need to be parked in the street. There are many other homes on Chorro St. that also have very limited parking and without garages. Quite often, neighbors across the street park on our side of the street due to there being no parking in front of their homes. We also have Cal Poly students that come and park on our street in front of our homes and bike to school. Parking for the residents of our neighborhood is already very challenging and this bike lane will impact us greatly. My parents live in the main house and are elderly. If this project goes through I can foresee times that they would have to park a block or more from home. If they have bags, or supplies this will be extremely difficult for them. I would like to add, there is not a lot of bike traffic on Chorro St. in general. Lots of people walking, an occasional biker or two and the CP students that park on our street and then bike to school from there. Seems like the money could be better spent in different areas of town. I do know there are spots where there have been biking accidents and fatalities perhaps these areas would be better spots to consider. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely Shawn Harper 1
