Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Council Members, Did you change the name of the entire area from Highway 101 to Foothill, Santa Rosa to Cerro San Luis Obispo to "The North Chorro Neighborhood?" If so, why, when, and how, and did you commit a Brown Act violation since that was never on an agenda? If you didn't, who did, and why, and on what basis since residents were never informed of or involved in a name change? And because there's already a North Chorro Neighborhood around North Chorro Street, on the north side of Foothill? I wrote to Derek Johnson asking similar questions long ago (copied you on that) and he has not responded. This is a really weird business. Sincerely, Richard Schmidt Examples of the change cited above, from latest "SLO In Motion, Headed in the wrong direction email:" "North Chorro Transportation/Safety Improvements will Begin: Construction crews will install speed humps on Mienecke Avenue and Lincoln Street next week. Temporary lane closures and traffic control will be in place. Driveway access will be maintained for residents and businesses. City construction teams will also be in the North Chorro neighborhood adding ramps to sidewalks to improve accessibility. Residents can expect temporary noise from this work with heavy equipment." "Road Closures: Construction crews made progress on the important sewer replacement work happening in the North Chorro neighborhood. Unfortunately, we had to close the intersection of Broad Street and Ramona Drive for several days and nights due to safety reasons. Driveway access has been maintained and detours are in place. The good news is that this work is anticipated to be completed next week." 1
