Dear ATC members,
I'm writing to express support for the following prioritization:
1. Johnson
2. California
3. Santa Barbara
4. Orcutt
5. Palm
6. Monterey
Johnson and California serve as routes to the High School and should receive prioritization to encourage our high school
kids to use alternative forms of transportation. There was recently (September 2) an accident where Kai Monge broke
his wrist while riding to SLO High on California.
The protected bike lanes on Santa Barbara should be prioritized because that is the type of infrastructure we need to be
safe on that road. The rest of the areas call for sharrows and buffered bike lanes. I don't think we should be prioritizing
sharrows as that is not good or safe bike infrastructure.
