City Manager Report Presentation9/20 City Manager ReportNew Courthouse Location Advisory GroupProject Advisory Group (PAG) is established by California Rules of Court and consists of Court Judicial Officer(s), Court personnel, and others affected by the Court facility. It is tasked with the following:• Defining site selection criteria• Determining sites to be evaluated prior to site selection• Determining the preferred and alternative site or sites to be submitted to the State Public Works Board (SPWB)The site selection/acquisition process is scheduled to be completed by December 2024.
9/20 City Manager ReportSLO in Motion• Transportation & mobility improvements nearing completion in Laguna Lake neighborhoods• Waterline replaced (Tassajara/Broad)• Downtown:• Bike medians installed on Marsh• Night Work: Permanent street markings to be added at bike lanes and intersection of Marsh/Higuera. (Wed, 9/21)• Chorro Street closure this week between Higuera & Palm• Sidewalk removal and detours at Higuera/Nipomo Resealing work delayed to early October
9/20 City Manager ReportFlood Prevention Work• Two-week project located where Los Osos Valley Road (LOVR) meets Highway 101• Work starting this month will occur under the LOVR bridge and in nearby wooded areas where San Luis Creek and Prefumo Creeks converge• LOVR is a major gateway and serves as an evacuation route so preventing flooding is here is to ensuring safe evacuation routes.
