Tree Committee,
I urge you to not allow the removal of mature trees at the 1422 Monterey St. property. The City has a program to plant
10,000 trees by 2035, a program that will take decades for the trees to mature and provide carbon sequestration. The
urgency for carbon capture is now. Every tree counts.
The developer should incorporate the beautiful mature trees in the housing design. This would be a win-win for the
people and the planet.
