Subject: New Red Curb at Florence Ave and San Carlos Dr.
Dear Resident:
The City of San Luis Obispo would like to give you notice about upcoming on-street parking
changes at your location. The city has received safety concerns relating to sight distance
and failure to yield at the Florence Ave. and San Carlos Dr. intersection. Upon investigation,
our staff confirmed the legitimacy of these concerns and found that we must pull back
parking at the corners along San Carlos Drive to provide a safe line of sight. This will require
the removal of approximately 2 parking spots in front of your property. Work will be
completed by our Streets Maintenance team within the next few months.
Thank you for your support of this effort to improve road safety for all roadway users. If
you have any further questions regarding this matter, pleas e feel free to contact our Traffic
department at (805) 781-7597.
Sincerely,
Sergio Amezquita
