This is the second attempt to have this tree removed and I thank you for not allowing it the last time it came forward. Please reject it again with this attempt. It is a beautiful, large palm that is a year after year nesting site for owls. The current resident is a barn owl that my husband and I look for each morning on our neighborhood walk. There are so few sites left for our valuable owls who help keep rodent populations in check! That's one plus. It's also a large tree that is sequestering carbon, something we should be valuing more and more as global warming progresses. I'm sure it is hard to say no to property owners who want to remove trees and I thank you for doing the whole city a service by preserving this tree. Sincerely, Corliss Campbell Resident, City of San Luis Obispo 1
