Dear SLO Advisory Bodies,
I am writing to emphasize my support for continued and accelerated implementation of all active transportation
measures. The changes made in the last two years have improved the pedestrian and bicycle transportation in the city
well over what it has been in the prior 15 years. Are we there yet? No, but there has been incredible progress made. It is
critical that all travel modes connect all areas of residence, work, shopping, and play. There are a some gaps that stand
out as other pieces are improved.
I fully support further implementation and measures be taken to adjust to increased use of the new modes being
accommodated. That can be bike parking, securing micro-mobility devices, and, yes, it includes a bike share. The bike
share MUST be developed in collaboration with Cal Poly, whose students will be a large portion of the potential users.
