experience that encourages walkability and public
use. Custom signage will provide historical context
for the project and surrounding area.

Named after Alex Madonna, who
operated a hardware store at the 581
Higuera location for many years. This
store was near and dear to Alex
and his family.
With the site being located where a
Foster's Freeze stood for more than
50 years, we thought it would be
appropriate to name the interior
plaza "Foster's Place".
Walking down this path from the
plaza, pedestrians can access
the historic Jack House gardens
located adjacent to San Luis
Square
