Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ I would like to submit the following comments regarding the new dog park designs. 1) Re: Design Option 2 Any area with wood chips/mulch is not favored because: a) dog poops are hard to see/find/pick up on wood chips b)dogs tend to eat the wood chips which can harm their digestive system c) fleas and ticks easily hide out in this organic matter. Options 1 & 2 1) Need increased parking, can the existing parking lot be expanded to allow parking on BOTH SIDES OF THE LOT? 2) Where does the natural drainage/spring?off the slope go? 3) are tree stumps being removed? 4) Seating areas, especially shaded areas need areas where dog owners from BOTH sides (large and small dogs) can congregate together while watching their dogs. Also a pass through gate between large/small dog areas. 4) more benches randomly spaced on perimeters Option 1 (note comments/suggestions/concerns in “Option 1 & 2) LOVE! In Option 1 1) double lines of trees creating natural windbreaks. Cold wind up the valley often makes park very uncomfortable for dog owners. Trees help mitigate this a little. 2) organic (curved boundaries) though reduces green play space 3) shaded picnic areas 4) Large mixed use area Sent from my iPhone 1
