As past Mayors and Councif�l�lerrttr M f San Luis Obispo City we support
Cal Poly's efforts to increase the number of students housed on campus.
Cal Poly and our City have a long history of more than a century of mutual
cooperation with both partners recognizing the need and the benefit of
consultation in areas where the actions and policies of one may affect the other.
Given that any increase in the number of students at Cal Poly will have
substantial impact on the housing and rental market within our City, as has been
the situation in the past, we request that Cal Poly and the San Luis Obispo City
Council work in partnership in consideration of the timing and prospective
locations for all future student housing.
