Council Liaison functions – Dec 4 – 18,2012
Here's a record of the meetings where I have represented the City over the past two weeks :
1.Water Resources Advisory Committee :Wednesday, December 5 I attended the meetin g
of the WRAC at the City-County Library . Of the $7 .5 million expected to be available
through the Integrated Water Management Plan (IRWM) in 2014-15,WRAC i s
proposing that about $2 .1 million be granted to the City of Paso Robles for thei r
wastewater plant upgrade . Another $1 .3 million is recommended for an award to the San
Miguel Water System Upgrade project .
2.Homeless Services City/County/CAPSLO/Chamber Collaborative Committee :Also o n
December 5 I and Michael Codron represented the City at this relatively new group ,
which is focused on ways to achieve a consensus about location of the new Homeles s
Services Center – specifically, whether to reconsider the feasibility of the 40 Prado Roa d
site (behind and including the U-Haul site). No decisions were made .
3.Arts Obispo Aperture – Lecture :The first of a monthly series of lectures presented b y
Arts Obispo featured John Cederquist, a woodworking sculptor, at the Monday Club . I t
was very well-attended, and this series promises to be a good one .
4.Tim Girvin Retirement Party :Tuesday, Dec . 1 1
5.Senior Center Holiday Luncheon :Wednesday, Dec .12 at noon
6.Los Osos Valley Rd ./Octagon Barn Bikeway Connection Workshop :Wednesday, Dec .
12 at 6 – 7 p .m . Great input from the neighborhood and various interest groups, includin g
bicycle enthusiasts .

7.Fire Department Promotional Ceremony :Fire Station #1 am, attended the promotio n
ceremony for Jason Pratt, Jeff Gater, and David Marshal . The Fire Department is in goo d
hands!
