Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Hello, I am a direct descendant of Maria Concepcion "Chona" Boronda through her first husband, Olivier Deleissegues. I would like to vote for the La Loma Adobe's preservation to be on the priority list for funding. The La Loma adobe is one of the oldest structures in the City and County of San Luis Obispo, and it was a residence of prominent Hispanics who arrived in Alta California in the 18th century, before US statehood. When Maria Concepcion Boronda traded part of her Mexican Land Grant, "Rancho El Potrero" (where Cal Poly SLO is currently) and purchased the Rancho La Vina which included the adobe "La Loma de Las Nopaleras," she was married to longtime SLO sheriff and judge Jose Maria Munoz, and there they raised their extended family. The La Loma Adobe is actually part of an important network of the earliest California adobes built in Monterey County by other members of Chona's family, the Borondas, and the Dana adobe in Nipomo. These prominent families were all intermarried and formed an important part of the Hispanic communities before and after statehood. Please save this historical and cultural landmark, and honor inclusivity, diversity, and the City of San Luis Obispo's cultural roots. Thank you, Leslie Donovan lesliedonovan@yahoo.com 1
