Subject:Prioritization of Pismo Hillside Project

Dear City Council,
I own property near the hillside on Pismo near Morro; the one that has had enough rock falls, mudslides and
displacement that the city closed down that stretch of Pismo street.
I'm writing to ask that the Council please budget for the completion of the Pismo Hillside project, which has been in the
works for 15 years and is identified as a current need.
This project is urgent, considering the recent storms, rockfalls and landslides. The possibility of more major displacement
that could affect nearby structures -- and the safety of those who reside in them -- is visible and time-sensitive.
I believe it's a city policy to prioritize repair, stability and safety of infrastructure that already exists over new projects.
That, along with the safety issue, makes this a highest priority.
Fixing the Pismo Hillside will allow for re-opening of the sidewalk and restoration of many parking spaces, though that is
a distant benefit behind safety issues.
Thank you for your consideration.
