Pay to get the streamlined automated Solar permitting process application "SOLAR APP PLUS." Contact: cailey@solarrighrs.org or info@solarrights.org The city permit process takes months of red tape & us residents don't have that when everything changes with new rules in effect for April 2023. The cost would be offset by the staff hours it takes to manually process Solar permit applications. 2. Homeless Education & Temporary Tent City: Pay for 1-2 social workers to go out to homeless sites & up to anyone begging for money & present them with a 3"x5" printed card with current phone #s & addresses of resources for them to use for immediate meals, clothing, lodging & help to pay bills for 3 months to help get back on their feet til self- sufficient or relocate. Also these social workers would provide on-site counseling & help completing necessary applications for any desired services as needed. Use city land for a temporary tent city with access to clean water & portable toilets with hand wash basins. Nothing drastic is being done to build housing for.the homeless to help curb the problem. We all know a developer's idea of affordable housing is unobtainable by most homeless even if employed. More ideas to follow. Best regards, Jo Bettencourt 1
