Good evening,
I am unable to attend the planning commission meeting tonight, but I wanted to voice my support for the Downtown
Density Ordinance.
As someone who has grown up, works, and attends school in San Luis Obispo, I have seen far too many of my friends
and colleagues be forced to move out of the area because they simply cannot afford to make a viable living in SLO. It is
apparent that the City needs more affordable housing developments, or else the population demographics will continue
to dry up for any age group under 60 years old. The City wishes to encourage more Cal Poly grads to remain here post-
graduation, yes? Pushing for this agenda would make it much more feasible for college-aged students (like myself) to
remain in the area, further contributing to the City's economic prosperity and growth.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Andrew
