No rush, but can you put the stop at San Carlos and Florence in the queue for review? Happily, we have lots of bikes going up and down San Carlos, but the downhill gets pretty speedy and we are getting a lot of cars rolling through the stop. Maybe flags on the stop sign, or a bigger stop sign/red post, or ‘cross traffic does not stop’? We mentioned it to SLOPD (Christine copied here) at our Neighborhood Night Out and they will look into enforcement; maybe that will do the trick, but I wanted to put it on your radar. Thanks! No problem, I’ll have our staff investigate and see if some measures are needed to improve the visibility of the sign. Adding the “CROSS TRAFFIC DOES NOT STOP” plaque should be no problem. While no veggie trimming or vegetation abatement is needed, there is a need for sight distance improvements along San Carlos Drive. The work order for the sight distance improvements and the installation of a ‘Cross Traffic Does Not Stop’ sign can be found attached to this email. Let us know if you have any questions or comments.
