Freddy,
I am going to SLO July 21-22 for site visits. I believe I should be done

I would like to have you look at this one. The developers' father has a past
history with the ACOE and doing things he shouldn't with equipment and
sensitive areas. With the right conditions from the agencies, this is
definitely a project that could have great benefits for the environment and
steelhead. Mr. Madonna will need to hear from the agencies about what he
will be on the hook for.
What shall I schedule in Arroyo Grande with you too?

Dreddy,
Make it a JD site visit and also have me visit Arroyo Grande and It would be
worth the time away from all my others projects. But you folks shouldn't

think that every project needs to be visited in order to be understood. IF
the site description is adequate a site visit doesn't usually add much
beyond a spatial understanding.

Good morning to the two of you. I have been tasked with trying to get the
two of you up here for a pre-project review. Matt, I know that this would be
hard for you so maybe we could do a webinar or something like that so you
can see the terrain and the proposed re-route of Froom Creek. Froom Creek
comes out of the Irish Hills, has been impacted greatly over the years and
now the developer wants to allow it to meander through what may have been
the historic floodplain through a proposed development. There would be new
riparian vegetation and gravels which are lacking now, and we could use
material from up the canyon during the grading for the new creek channel.
Historically, Alex Madonna cut a road up the canyon and side-broadcast the
material into Froom Creek effectively burying Froom Creek. There is a
remnant population of steelhead in the upper watershed but with this
project, we could put conditions on to make incredible improvements to that
sub-watershed. Maybe a conference call first to discuss more in detail.
Please tell me your thoughts.
Thanks,

Freddy,
If the Madonnas are involved then I agree, with their history I should make
a site visit. I just realized my Arroyo Grande project is a SLO county ,
not city, one, so I'll have to coordinate with them about that.
