Subject: Froom Ranch Specific Plan: Agenda Item 9
Dear Council,
We are writing to urge you to approve the Froom Ranch Specific Plan. We have lived in SLO County for 48 years, in San
Luis Obispo,Templeton and now Cayucos. We have been, and continue to be, active in our communities. We participate
in local arts, education, and non-profit organizations. We use local merchants and local tradesmen for all of our needs.
We have no children so we MUST plan for the future. Someday, one of us will be alone and the challenge of making
decisions of where to find assisted care, nursing care or memory care will be daunting, especially if the "survivor" is in
their late 80s or 90s. If the "survivor" is incapacitated then the "State"will need to expend money and personnel to care
for us. We want to make these decisions now and choose to become residents of Villaggio, where our wishes will be
honored for future decisions. Many of our existing friends and neighbors have also chosen to live in Villaggio so we
would not have to live with "strangers" in another County where these life plan communities currently exist.
We cannot wait! Please approve the Villaggio Life Care Community as soon as possible.
