Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear ATC members, I'm writing in support of allowing bicycle riding on sidewalks outside of the downtown area. At the very least it should be allowed for children. My children 5 & 7 ride on the sidewalk often because it is not safe and extremely stressful to have them ride in the street with the current infrastructure. I often ride short sections of sidewalk due to missing infrastructure, for example: - Riding the Class 1 bike path at Cal Poly on Highland toward Santa Rosa puts bicyclists on the sidewalk after crossing Santa Rosa for a short section until they can get to North Chorro/Ferrini - Riding behind Cal Fresh puts bicyclists on the sidewalk for a bit to get to the HAWK crossing at Ferrini (this will be fixed once the path goes through the LDS church).
