I understand the Council is considering how to fund the Anholm bikeway project at the meeting next Tuesday, as the bids came in higher than expected. While I am generally in favor of the plan, I am opposed to 2-way bike lanes that cross driveways. I have ridden the Madonna 2-way bike lane, and will not use it again. Vehicles backing out, or even pulling out are not used to seeing bikes coming from opposite the normal direction of traffic. I think you should fund the plan with the exception of the 2-way bike lane on Chorro and look for another alternative.
