Susan,
Thanks for sharing your input. I'm cc'ing the City Clerk, who can incorporate this in the City Council Agenda

Luke,
I’m writing to oppose the $6M dollar bike path project that seems to be a shoe-in for approval at the council meeting
tonight. From reading the agenda for tonight’s meeting it doesn’t look like the council will “consider” this, it looks like it
is a done deal. As a resident/homeowner/tax payer of SLO county for 45 years I have to say I see many more urgent
matters other than another huge bike project. I’m a Cal Poly retiree and worked with SLOCOG, RTA, and SLO Transit for
many years on alternative transportation issues. It was clear to me that many SLOCOG staffers were avid bike riders and
much funding was directed, and continues to be, to that population. I feel that our community is not being heard when
these projects are being opposed by those of us that have valid concerns about the enormity of the funds being spent.
Also, for the large number of seniors in the city all these bike paths aren’t practical.
Here are some other areas that need to be addressed sooner than later:
Additional local transit, especially to downtown Road repair and striping Flooding mitigation Cleaning up Laguna Lake
Park so people can actually enjoy it Traffic flow Cleaning up our downtown so residents want to shop there Putting more
funding toward Prado Road overpass (badly needed)
I could go on and on. Thank you for listening, please pass this along to the council.

Susan Rains
