HomeMy WebLinkAboutFH Parking Reduction Signed 022218FRENCH HOSPITAL, PACIFIC MEDICAL PLAZA PARKING AND TRIP REDUCTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM Proaram's Goal: To maximize the efficiency of the Hospital's and Medical Building's available parking Spaces and to encourage alternative modes of transportation. Program Includes: Hospital will provide security personnel with a roving electric cart vehicle from 7am to 7pm and by request after hours to transport visitors, patients and staff from parking areas to the building points of entry. Senior Director of Facilities Management, Daniel Farnum, shall serve as the designated Transportation Coordinator for the French Hospital Medical Center Parking and Trip Reduction Management Program. The Transportation Coordinator will provide annual reporting to the Community Development Director detailing the number of employees and effectiveness of the trip -reduction plan components in meeting the objectives. New trip -reduction measures shall be approved for implementation into the program if existing measures are proven to be ineffective. Lockable bicycle parking for employees and visitors are provided for both front -in and back -in parking, allowing the frame and both wheels (one wheel removed from the frame) to be locked to the rack using common locking devices such as a standard -sized "Ll" lock. Showers and lockers are provided in the hospital for all campus employees who walk or bicycle to work. Three staggered shift schedules to distribute demand over each 24 hour period (for hospital). Both 4/40 and 3/36 weekly shift schedules (for Hospitals). Signs are posted to specifically designate parking spaces for Physicians, Visitors, Emergency Room and Employees. The Hospital Security Department patrol all of the parking areas to assure that vehicles are parked in appropriate locations on the site. Blue numbered parking stickers have been issued to all employees and red to doctors in order to identify the vehicles of employees and physicians so that designated parking can be monitored. The facility will install a Ride Share bulletin board which contains the following elements: A Transportation Coordinator has been appointed to organize ride -sharing and other trip reduction programs, post and disseminate information to employees about transportation alternatives, survey employees regarding preferences, and provide annual reports to the City's Community Development Director regarding program success. Bus schedules and other transportation management information. Carpooling employees will receive incentives in the following manner: *Drivers (8 times per month) — 2 free movie tickets *Riders (8 times per month) - free lunch pass. FRENCH HOSPITAL, PACIFIC AND FRENCH MEDICAL PLAZA PARKING AND TRIP REDUCTION (CONT'D) All employees who select an alternative mode of transportation will receive incentives by the following: Recognition on the Transportation Bulletin Board and in the quarterly newsletter. Participation 8 times per month — free lunch pass. Gold Employer Status per the Back'N' Forth Club program requirements. 2 per day employee financial incentive for taking a smart commute option (carpool, vanpool, bike, walk, transit).
