Magellan has a wide range of experience with municipal governments, especially in California, and
seems to be ideally suited to conduct the project for SLO.

Task Rating Notes
Task 1
Task 2
Task 3 Feel more comprehensive, I liked that they were doing 1 on 1
meetings with providers. Also seemed that they were going
to be looking at a lot more data sets.
Task 4 Clearly defined deliverables, clearly lays out a number of
options that they would be reviewing and providing
recommendation on, and
Task 5 Overall level of detail on the work that they are going to do is
exceptional.
Task 6 The deliverable is superior: Magellan will provide a technical
memorandum identifying shovel-ready projects and
associated costs and facilitate a workshop to discuss the 5-
year CIP forecast.
Task 7 5 Overall the deliverable at the end is more comprehensive: “d
facilitate a workshop to discuss potential next steps;
Magellan will provide support for presentations and meetings
as required for plan approval.”

Televate’s reference projects seem more focused on public safety communications networks than
municipal broadband planning. Only one California agency mentioned.
