Neither she, nor any LRMAC member was personally disparaged. I, too, question the LRMAC appointments as being political. Evidence supports this notion. At the September 2013 appointments, Ms. Brooks had a scant seven months as a resident and registered voter of San Luis Obispo. Her vested interest in Measure Y was inadequate subsequent to 25 -years of absence residing in Sacramento as an activist. She was not here in 2006 to vote on Measure Y, hear promises made, experience the effects of binding arbitration, observe the unaccountable spending, or significantly pay the actual Measure Y sales tax. Inasmuch as Ms. Brooks advocated for issues in Sacramento, so should our elected Council Member, Dan Carpenter, advocate for financial accountability with respect to Measure Y. Ms. Brooks' vituperous public letter is outrageous. The attack demarcates unsuitability for future appointments. I support and agree with Mr. Carpenter.
