1 Agenda review with city staff.
- City Council meeting
3 Meeting with SLO Clean Energy and community leaders regarding the formation of an exploratory
advisory committee on Community Choice Aggregate.
- Attend a Bike Expo at Cannon Associates in anticipation of May's Bike Month
6 Attend celebration of the Grand Opening of the SLO City Farm,
8 Attend the Downtown Association Board meeting as Council Liaison: discussion of news racks,
donation stations, Measure Y, San Luis Ranch, infrastructure financing.
Attend the Friends of the Bob Jones Bike Trail informational meeting at the Octagon Barn
9 Council Closed Session regarding compensation for City Manager and City Attorney
12 Attend Cal Poly's Open House Parade and Opening Ceremonies
15 City Council meeting
16 Meet with President Armstrong of Cal Poly regarding student housing projects, SLO Hothouse and
Cal Poly open house.
17 Attend LAFCO meeting where county water options were reviewed in detail.
- Meeting with Chevron representatives regarding the Chevron AASP project timeline.
- Attend the Student Community Liaison Committee meeting (sub for Carpenter)
Attend the CAPSLO Board Meeting as the City Council liaison and Board member. The Board
approved a new "zero tolerance" policy for its homeless services.
18 All-day tour of PG &E Diablo Canyon Power Plant, including a meeting with Chief Nuclear Officer
Ed Halpin.
19 Attend the Annual Arbor Day celebration at Laguna Lake Park.
22 Meeting with Downtown Association CEO Dominic Tartaglia to discuss their support for Measure
Y renewal among other topics.
MAY
Attend Ribbon- cutting for a new section of the Bob Jones Bike Trail
Monthly update with City Manager Katie Lichdg
Attend President Armstrong's keynote speech "Vision 2022: The Future of Cal Poly"
