Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Luke, Adam, and ATC members, This morning while riding my bike to work I had a near-miss collision with a vehicle and wanted to report it in hopes of providing a data point to make the Higuera/South St intersection safer for people who walk and roll. I was traveling south on Higuera and entered the left turn lane towards South St. When I got the green arrow I was cut off by a driver making a right onto South St from Higuera (next to SLO-DO-CO) while they had the red light. This has happened to me multiple times on a bike. Additionally I've had drivers turn into me while walking on Higuera when crossing South St. I do not feel safe as a cyclist or pedestrian here. When considering making improvements to this intersection:  Is it possible to prohibit right turns on a red light here?  Is it possible to add some soft post bulb outs to shorten the crossing distance and prevent drivers from hugging the corner while turning? Sincerely, Jesse Englert SLO Resident 1
